Good Shepherd Montessori Preschool (for recent news and updates, please visit our blog page!) is a charming school nestled in the Scandinavian village of Poulsbo. The architecture of the school is a picture book traditional schoolhouse topped with a bell cupola.
The school blends education for children with practical life exercises, sensorial activities, language skills, mathematics, science, geography and daily Bible stories. The school is a Christ centered educational program emphasizing the Montessori teaching principles and applications.
Good Shepherd Montessori Preschool is affiliated with North American Montessori Teachers Association and the Association of Montessori International.
Meet Mrs. Cindy!
She began working with young children in the early 80’s. During this time Mrs. Cindy worked to help establish this type of preschool in the Philippines and directed New Beginnings Learning Center at Neah Bay, Washington for the Makah Indians. For four years she was the Program Director and lead teacher at Community Montessori Center (formerly Winslow Children’s Campus) on Bainbridge Island, Washington. She is a graduate of the University of Nations College of Early Childhood Education and attends early childhood seminars each year to advance her teaching skills.
Mrs. Cindy encourages the children through Biblical stories, music, art, drama and languages from a world view prospective. Her teaching material and format is Montessori which encourages the children to explore and learn through learning centers. She facilitates their learning of concepts, skills and appreciation of order.

Enrollment Requirements:
• Ages 3 to Kindergarten
• Children must be toilet (potty) trained
• Parent and child must attend the interview together
• Medical Form must be completed & submitted with your application
